A body with mass and tied to a long rope is rotated uniformly in a vertical plane at a speed of . The rotating body is observed in three positions at angles , and to the horizontal as shown in figure 1 below.

  • Calculate the tension force in the rope in all three positions.

  • Calculate and record in a table, the tension force in the rope when the body is at the positions at the multiple of angles from to .

  • Draw the graph of the tension force in the rope against the angle .
