A stream of ions enters a homogeneous magnetic field with a density of at a speed of as shown in the figure below. The ions charged with the base charge turn in a semicircular rail and eventually collide with the detector. If there are three types of ions in the jet with relative atomic masses 20, 21, and 22, calculate the distance between the points of the traces left on the detector by the ions. Determine also whether the ion charge is positive or negative.
