In an isosceles triangle ABC, the arms AC and BC measures , base AB is . Point D is the midpoint of the base AB. The point E is the foot (rectangular projection of the point B on the side AC) of the height on the side AC. Draw a sketch.


  • Prove that the triangles ADC and AEB are similar.

  • Calculate the distance from the vertex B to the opposite leg. The result should be accurate.
